Sugee (Suji) cake is a vestige of the region's colonial past, commonly amongst the Eurasian community. One of the most sought after cakes for the festive season.  Sugee (Suji), also known as Semolina, is a type of granulated wheat commonly used in both sweet and savory dishes.

It is made with creamed butter and Semolina, with almond flour and plenty of eggs.  A moist buttery cake with a crusted outer layer.
